Book Review: One Week Girlifriend by Monica Murphy

One Week Girlfriend by Monica Murphy

OneWeekGirlfriend AMAZON

Temporary. That one single word best describes my life these last few years. I’m working at a temporary job until I can finally break free. I’m my little brother’s temporary mother since our mom doesn’t give a crap about either of us. And I’m that temporary girl all the guys want to get with because I give it up so easily. According to the rumors, at least.

But now I’m the temporary girlfriend of Drew Callahan, college football legend and all around golden guy. He’s beautiful, sweet—and he’s hiding way more secrets than I am. He’s brought me into this fake life where everyone seems to hate me. And everyone seems to want something from him. The only thing he seems to want though is…

Me.

I don’t know what to believe anymore. All I know is, I think Drew needs me. And I want to be there for him.

                                                 My Thoughts

There could not be a more perfect book than this one. Everything was perfect, from the devastating beautiful characters, to the storyline, to the dialogue. There are many factors that were involved in me really loving this book. "One Week Girlfriend" brought perfection to a whole new level. This book is the kind of book that stays with you forever, because it has made a profound mark upon you. I cannot explain accurately enough how much I really LOVED this book. I've read many books in the past few years and I can tell you that none can compare with this certain book.
Monica Murphy has created a book that has me completely amazed. Although the story was predictable in many ways it never did interfere with the urge to continue reading. The use of foreshadowing in this book is so wisely used that it makes you crave for more. I not once lost interest in what was happening in the lives of Drew Callahan and Fable Maguire. I enjoyed how "One Week Girlfriend" turned out to be a page turner. I couldn't find the strength in me to stop reading, no matter how late it was getting. I often found that I kept telling myself to stop or that one more chapter and that will be all for the night. This constant reminder led to nothing but to continue reading until I finally finished the book. Although the length of the book was rather short, it in no way contributed to how fast I was able to finish this breathtaking book. The fact that I finished reading it was all due to how interesting, thrilling, and breathtaking this it was. I found that EVERYTHING in this book was exceptionally perfect and that it has gone beyond expected standards. Starting from the characters and their history to what influenced their present action, it is all wonderfully perfect. The characters and their stories(not to mention their names) brought a great influence in how the story came out. I applaud Monica Murphy for creating characters that not only made the story better but also made us love every single aspect about them. The meaning behind their names an their backstory was incredibly astute. I plan to continue reading the One Week Girlfriend Series in order to find out how the story of Drew and Fable turns out. I would love to see them get over their struggles and their demons together and even if that doesn't happen in the next books I'm sure Monica will make the rest of the books worth my time and enjoyment. I am beyond pleased to say that I have given this book a FIVE STAR rating due to plot and characters. I highly recommend this amazing book to anyone who is interested in something different but also enjoys a great read. Go ahead and give this book a try because I'm sure you wont regret a single moment of it. Let this book show you how we are often troubled by our demons that we cant move forward and that everyone deserves to be saved no matter our past.
